The early humans were very important to civilization. Australopithecus afarensis was the first hominid to be a biped. This in effect allowed later hominids such as Homo habilis to emerge as a the first toolmaking hominid. Homo erectus with the discovery and control of fire paved the way allowing migration, protection, and the seeds of culture to take place. Homo neanderthalensis with its larger brain created more sophisticated tools and prototype communities. Lastly, Homo sapien, the only surviving human species created art, language, and culture through the special ability of thinking abstractly. Click on the link below called "Early Humans." I believe Homo habilis contributed more to civilization.They were the first toolmakers on earth.Without tools we wouldn't have anything we have right now for example our homes.If Homo habilis didn't invent tools the hominids that came later wouldn't be able to survive the changes of the earth like the climate.If it weren't for them we might not be here.This is why I think Homo habilis contributed more to civilization.
ReplyDeleteHomo habils took one of the largest steps of mankind by being able to make stone tools. H. habilis was known as the handy man. Tool making was important because without tool making we would still be like Australopithecus afarensis. We would be using accidental tools to still smash things.H. habilis through stone making technology created better tools for hunting. Which allowed H. habilis to have a better diet. Tools also allowed for the creation of shelter which allowed protection from predators. Tool making has revolutionized toolmaking.

If like, where would we able to live without fire it would be cold. Fire was able to scare of animals or cretures from eating them or killing them. Cooking, for example, it was able to kill bateria to make the food more edibale. Art and music are important in giving culture to civilization. Without art and music we would not be able to express our true feelings. H. sapien was also able to think abstractly. For instance, Homo Sapiens were able to pass on culture. Also, Homo Sapiens had the ability of creating new technology. This added to the technology that previous homonids created. The reason why I think that Homo Sapiens contributed to civilization the most is because they had a more complex brain and used strategies that other homonids invented. One of the homonids that helped civilization was Australopithecus Afarensis. Australopithecus Afarensis contributed to civilization by caring for young and their family. This helped civilization by giving people the ability to cooperate with each other. Also, caring for others also helped start communities or groups that protected and cared for each other. In addition, Australopithecus Afarensis was a biped. This helps civilization by allowing us to walk. Walking helps us with transportation. If people a part of a civilizaton can't walk, things would probably not be done as quickly. Homo habilis was dicovered by Mary and Louis Leakey. They found the remains in Tanzania, West Africa. Homo habilis made various primitive tools such as digging stones. The digging stones might have been used to dig holes for traps or to find underground streams of water. To conclude, without Homo habilis we would not have tools today.

They used the tools to hunt for animals /prey to eat. They named this homind Lucy because the person who discovered was listening to lucy and the sky of diamonds. This homind looks a lot like apes it has similar appearances like the face. This homind was impotant and interesting . This is what i think.
In my opinion I think Homo Sapiens did the most contribution to civilization for many reasons. Because of other ancient hominids they could make new ideas. they had a better brain than other primates that helped us lead to technology and other things we use in modern times. For example, they passed down creating art, language and culture. we can think abstraclty because we have a bigger brain which is about 1350 cc. Homo Sapiens contribute a lot to civlization because many past ancestors are known for a inventions that we can make more sophisticated. This is why I think the are interesting primates to help lead to modern things.
